Beschrijving

GAM Torino's vast collection of paintings, sculptures and monumental installations is dedicated to 19C and 20C Italian art, with a particular focus on the Piedmont and a large collection of works by Antonio Fontanesi (1818-82). The museum layout allows visitors to appreciate the evolution of Italian art and to make interesting comparisons with developments elsewhere in Europe, right up to the informal art and Arte Povera movements of the 1960s.
