Beschrijving
The manufacture of sabres used to be a speciality of the Toyama region. This private museum founded by a local industrialist is home to one of the country's finest collections of Japanese sabres. Some of the weapons on display are over 800 years old. Observe in particular the decorative work on the blades, without forgetting the lavish adornment on the tsubas (hilts) and scabbards. Interesting collection of traditional Japanese Nihon-ga-style on the 2nd floor.
