One of the highlights of southern Tunisia, the Tozeur oasis stands out against the immense, cracked surface of the chotts (old dried-out salt lakes), which is bathed in fierce heat and sunlight. At first sight appearing like a mirage in the desert, this long green oasis is dotted with spectacular palm trees. Water runs from one pool to the next, winding its way through luxuriant vegetation and bringing life to this cool haven of peace and tranquillity.
