This museum, established in several edifices restored in the second half of the 19C, mainly showcases 19C and 20C American art. It also displays some Pre-Columbian art (Inca, Maya) and religious artefacts dating from the Spanish era (Palice Gallery). Modern and contemporary art, themes related to the Southwest, manuscripts and rare books are also on show.
