Beschrijving
This is one of Venice's last remaining gondola repair workshops (squèro) and definitely the most famous. At first sight, you may wonder what an Alpine chalet is doing in Venice... Apparently, the carpenters, who founded the original ship-gondola building site in the 17C, were originally from the mountains of Cadore in the Dolomites. Unexpected, but oozing with charm!
