The lavish facade of Santa Maria del Giglio church, adorned with statues of trumpeting angels and saints in glory, is a fine example of the Venetian Baroque style. Inside, the church is home to The Four Evangelists by Tintoretto (behind the main altar under the organ), and a magnificent Virgin and Child with the infant St John the Baptist (to the right), the only work by Peter Paul Rubens in Venice.
