Beschrijving

Laid out in the Royal Palace and one of its contemporary outhouses, this museum is a cultural centre devoted to the world of wine. It covers all aspects of wine growing and production, in addition to the culture that has grown up around wine: bottles and glasses (some of which are part of the whimsical Toby Jug collection), drinking songs, tasting skills. It makes for an excellent introduction to a wine excursion in the Penedès region, where over 60 wine cellars and cellers are open to the public.
