Beschrijving

In the Middle Ages, this castle was one of the Habsburg's strongholds in Carinthia. In the mid-16C, it passed to Bartholomäus Khevenhüller then from the 17C was no longer maintained. Today, a café-and-restaurant and an eagles' aviary that hosts bird of prey flight displays, are housed within the ruins. View from the terrace over the Villach basin, the Karawanken mountain range and Lake Ossiach.
