The famous Waterford glassworks were founded in 1783. Visitors are shown all the different stages of glassmaking, beginning with molten glass casting and concluding with delicate polishing, thanks to a tour around the workshops and a documentary on the history of glassmaking in Ireland and Waterford. The artisans are among the most qualified in the glassworks, and take real pleasure in demonstrating their talents.
