In this former court gardener's lodge at the entrance to the Park an der Ilm, you can see where Franz Liszt lived during his second stay in Weimar, from 1869 to 1886. Most memorable is the Musiksalon, where the composer organised Sunday concerts, the dining room (with a somewhat idealised portrait of Liszt, by Ary Scheffer) and the servant's room (small to say the least), where his valet, Fortunato, slept.
