This splendid museum is established in a 19C fishermen's cottage. The Johnston Collection features hundreds of fascinating photos, including many portraits, that bring this era, the golden age of herring fishing, back to life. In addition, you can wander around numerous rooms, some of which have been reconstituted to create a cooper's shop, a fish oven, a working lighthouse searchlight, the printing room of the local newspaper and characteristic cottage interiors.
