Without doubt one of Java's most interesting museums. The collections include Dong-Son bronzes from East Indonesia, megalithic statues from Wonosari and opulent bronze Hindu goddesses (10C-12C). Majapahit art is represented by pottery and earthenware exhibits, while ancient Korans and magnificent sculpted wooden panels afford a glimpse of the Pasisir culture. Be sure to see the fascinating puppet collection, as well as the Hindu statues and gargoyles on display outside.
