Beschrijving
The former Debtors' Prison and Female Prison now house one of the city's museums. Kirkgate is the exact replica of a Victorian street, complete with Victorian atmosphere. The Toy Stories section presents toys from the Victorian era to the present day, and has a children's play area. Finally, visual and sound projections in the erstwhile basement cells give an insight into how former inmates lived. Be sure to see the two exhibitions The Sixties and 1914.
