This master of modern sculpture (1920-1993) devoted much of his artistic life to the female form. His Mother and Child groups are a tribute to feminine curves and joy. His Thinkers epitomise grace, while his Idolo revisits the hieratic style of Cycladic sculpture. His Impulse (1973) reduces the body to a stylised suggestion of pure and sensual movement.
