This museum relates both the history of the Cervin and of Zermatt. The exhibition is designed as an archaeological site, that of a hidden village excavated by scientists: Zermatt in the 19C, renamed Zermatlantis. 14 houses enable visitors to gain an insight into life in an old peasant village, together with the amazing and tragic ascent of the Cervin. The visit ends by the Matterhornshow, a 3D-reproduction of the Cervin subjected to a variety of weather conditions.
