Flanked by a very elegant contemporary wing (2016), this Neogothic castle (1898) houses extensive collections that cover every aspect of Swiss culture and lifestyle, from the Stone Age to the present day. In addition to major temporary exhibitions, the museum also boasts a fine restaurant, a library, a shop and an auditorium.
