The Kalser Tauern are truly a sight for the eyes! During the cable-car ascension, enjoy the view of verdant rhododendrons along with the Grünsee, the Totenkopf and the famed lower glacier of Riffel. At the summit, 2315m/7595ft high, you are rewarded with the magnificent view of the Weißsee and Sonnblick glaciers (3088m/10131ft). But the journey isn't over yet; the cable-cars continue up into the heart of this majestic corrie, to Johannisberg (3453m/11328ft). A trail leads to the Kalser Tauern pass.
