This cultural tour is a good way to see the buildings Vauban raised in Luxembourg in and around 1685, as well as old Austrian and Prussian structures, such as the large flour storehouse (1733) and majestic Fort Thüngen (1732). The Pfaffenthal quarter has a village feel, while the climb up to Kirchberg takes you through forest, the ruins of Fort Obergrünewald have a dreamlike quality, and the way back takes in contemporary sights. A varied and fairly physically demanding tour that is best scheduled for the morning.
