This huge hall displays the amazing floats that are brought out each year on May 5 to take part in the town festival, a designated UNESCO Intangible cultural heritage. The six immense floats, adorned with colourful sculptures and gilt work, house statues of protective deities. A particular feature of Johana's festival is that each big float has a smaller sister float (lori-yatai), decorated with a model of a tearoom or a restaurant, on which 10 singers and musicians play during the parade.
