Beschrijving
This monastery clinging to the peak of a rocky outcrop was founded in the 15C to house a miraculous Virgin and Child. From the terrace, there is a splendid view of the coast and the island of Korcula. According to tradition, boats passing below blow their horn three times to salute the Virgin. The chapel is still home to the famous icon of Our Lady of the Angels, who protects sailors. The latter are behind most of the commemorative plaques exhibited in the museum, located in the monks' former refectory.
