On the border with Japantown, the cathedral is a masterpiece of contemporary architecture and its vast square nave features a ribbed vault whose peak rises to a height of 190ft. Inside the ambience is airy and calm. Look out for the organ on a pedestal and the spectacular bay windows overlooking the city. Concert organists play here almost every Sunday.
