If you find yourself in Paklenica National Park, the Velika Canyon hiking trail is an absolute must. Walking atop the spectacular cliff's edge (400m/1,300ft in places), you'll follow the ever narrowing valley, carved into the mountain by the River Velika Paklenica. The trail follows the stream and gives plenty of opportunity for mountain-climbing enthusiasts, who may wish to try the ascent of the 712m/2,300ft Anica Kuk rock fact at the canyon's exit.
